CHENNAI:
DMK president M Karunanidhi’s health condition has deteriorated further, doctors treating him in
Kauvery Hospital here said on Tuesday.
They said Karunanidhi, who has been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of the hospital since July 29, is “very critical.”
On Monday night, the hospital issued a medical bulletin stating that there has been a decline in the medical condition of the former
Tamil Nadu chief minister.
“Maintaining his vital organ function continues to remain a challenge considering his age-related ailments. He is on continuous monitoring and is being treated with active medical support. His response to the medical intervention over the next 24 hours will determine the prognosis,” said the bulletin issued by hospital executive director Dr Aravindan Selvaraj.
