Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, A woman of Bhopal is in the clutches of drug smugglers of Punjab after she became acquainted with them through Facebook. The woman was abducted and brought to Amritsar and there is no news of her since then.The family members have alleged that the woman has been abducted. MP Nagar police have registered a case.
According to the police, the woman, 35, befriended Punjab’s drug smuggler Dildar through Facebook. The woman’s husband told police that he originally belongs to Delhi and works in Ondoor company.
In June he was transferred to Bhopal from Delhi. His wife came in contact with Dildar Singh through Facebook.Dildar’s father Nattha Singh has retired from Punjab police. He said accused Dildar and his father are drug smugglers in Punjab.
On 20 June both the accused came to MP Nagar and took his wife with them. The woman’s husband said the accused have either sold his wife or are keeping him captive in Punjab.
After receiving the complaint, the police have gone to Punjab six times but has not been successful in tracing the woman.
Inebriated youths molest news anchor
A female news anchor was chased and harassed by two men in full public view while she was returning home from her office on Saturday night.
The woman begged for help but seeing no help coming from passers-by, the journalist slapped the miscreant and shot a video of the incident. Later, the journalist tweeted about the incident on the Chief Minister’s official account.
The woman told that two persons accosted inside a lift at her office building. Seeing the duo staring at her, the woman told the men to behave. After coming out of the lift, the woman took her two-wheeler and drove off. However she soon found that the two persons whom she chided in the lift were following her on their bike. They kept veering their vehicle near the woman until she stopped. The woman said both the accused were in inebriated state but fled after she thrashed them.
Married woman sexually assaulted
A married woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by her friend’s brother-in-law on Saturday, police said. In her complaint she told police that around a year ago, she had helped her friend in getting married to a youth based in Rajasthan. As things did not go well between the two, the woman came back and settled in the city a couple of months ago.
Later her husband spoke to the complainant over phone asking her to convince his wife to return. The woman asked the man to come to city and talk to his wife in person. However, the man instead sent his younger brother Vipul Anjana to speak to his wife.
Vipul reached at victim’s home on Saturday and after having dinner, he stayed back. As the victim’s husband was away for work, Vipul allegedly raped the woman in-front of her minor daughter. After the incident, he fled from the spot. Later when victim’s husband returned home, she narrated the incident to her husband and then the couple reached Kamla Nagar police station and lodged complaint. The accused is at large.
