Wrexham fought out a 0-0 draw in their first home game of the National League season as they were held by AFC Fylde .
Paul Rutherford saw an effort ruled out for offside, while the Dragons were also grateful to three excellent saves from Rob Lainton to ensure the stalemate.
Here Post sport writer Rob Griffiths casts his eye over the Dragons showing.
Rob Lainton
Did well to push out Ryan Croasdale’s first half effort, and to deny James Hardy on the stroke of half time, before an even better save after the break from Danny Philliskirk. 8
Kevin Roberts
Should have at least hit the target with one second half effort, but was solid in defence and got forward to support the forwards often. 7
Manny Smith
Reliable as ever, made some telling interventions against a well organised Coasters attack. 7
Shaun Pearson
Up against the impressive Danny Rowe, and kept the Coasters dangerman quite for large spells and also went close with a late header from a corner. 7

James Jennings
Got forward often on the left and put in a number of crosses that were begging to be finished. 7
Akil Wright
Offers a real physical presence in the middle of the park, and worked hard in defence in front of the back four. 7
Luke Young
Excellent again from the midfielder, and went close with a stunning volley that was just wide. 8
Luke Summerfield
Not as big an impact as Saturday’s win in Kent, but kept Wrexham ticking over in the middle of the park with an assured display. 7

Paul Rutherford
Worked tirelessly, as ever, saw one effort ruled out for offside and went close with two other efforts. 7
Mike Fondop
Went close with a header in the first half, and was a constant nuisance before being withdrawn on the hour mark. 7
Jordan Maguire-Drew
Had a quiet first half but sprung to life after the break. Went close to breaking the deadlock with a shot just over the top after a powerful run from deep and was a menace for the Fylde backline. 7
Stuart Beavon (on for Fondop on 59)
Struggled to get into the pace of the game. 5
Mark Carrington (on for Summerfield on 71)
Not involved in an attacking sense but was solid enough in midfield. 5
Rekeil Pyke (on for Maguire-Drew 87)
No time to have an impact. 5
