Chronicle Reporter, Bhopal, Several programmes were organized in the city on the occasion of the Friendship Day. Youngsters were most excited for celebrating the day. They enjoyed the day with their friends.
The gift galleries also had assorted chocolates, hampers that include chocolates, cards, perfumes, bands and a lot many things in a big basket. Moreover, personalised t-shirts and cushions were other innovative idea which is in practice these days.
Friends presented digitalised t-shirts and cushions with friendship quotes, pictures, and messages for their friends. There was another long followed trend of name bands and picture collages where friends created friendship bands, picture collage with the names of their friends on it and exchanged with each other on the day.
The market was also seen flooded with lucky charms like the laughing Buddha, silver bracelets with charms including stars, moon, sun, swords are also in trend.
Gift shops were flourished with new items especially different styles of expressing love towards friends. Little bottles filled with friendship message, stylish friendship watches, and teddies holding friendship message, etc were highlights of the Friendship Day.
While some decided to dedicate this day to the children living in orphanage and old age homes. Small celebrations were held in these organisations too. Some of the friends recollected sweet memories of the time spent together and catching up with their loved ones over a cup of coffee was the idea of ideal Friendship Day celebration for them.
The long chain of friendship messages on social sites was like never ending thing till night of the Sunday. People were seen enjoying with their loved ones exchanging the bond of love, friendship and unconditional tie and care.
