It's only got cosmetic changes, but it costs nearly 50 grand more than the standard car.
McLaren seems to be making more tailor-made commissions than a Saville Row suit shop these days, and here's another. The latest creation to come out of McLaren's MSO skunkworks is a 570S Spider with a distinctly Canadian feel. Just five of the cars have been made, which came about as part of a partnership between McLaren and Pfaff Automotive Partners, the distributor for McLaren cars in Canada, to celebrate McLaren’s racing and road-car history in the country.

The Canada Commission, as it is known, is painted in Silica White with contrasting red tinted carbon fiber elements, with a scattering of Maple Leave decals and Canadian flags where 570S badges once were completing the whole "Oh Canada!" look of the car's exterior. Other additions include MSO exterior packs and 10-Spoke Lightweight forged wheels in a stealth finish.
Black leather and alcantara, along with a red alcantara roof liner and steering wheel completes the interior trim, while a dedicated plaque identifies each model as one of five Canada Commission cars.
While there are numerous not-so-subtle changes, there are all just cosmetic. Under the hood is the same Ricardo-built twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 good for 562 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque. That, and the seven-speed, seamless-shift gearbox, help the car go from a standstill to 60 miles per hour (0-96 kilometers per hour) in 3.1 seconds and onto a top speed of 204 mph (328 kph). Keeping that performance on track is double-wishbone suspension all-round, with steel springs, twin-valve adaptive dampers, and anti-roll bars.
All the Canadian flavor doesn't come cheap. If you want one of the five Canada Commissions, prepare to pay no less than $353,206 CAD. A big price to pay for some paint.
