College bus overturns, 11 injured

Coimbatore: As many as 11 students of a private college and driver of the college bus suffered minor injuries after the bus turned turtle on the Athikuttai-Idugampalayam Road at Annur on Tuesday.
The bus belonged to Pioneer Arts and Science College, police sources said. “The bus was on the way to the college from Annur. Driver V Karuppaiah was trying to negotiate a curve when the vehicle turned turtle on a farm land along the Athikuttai-Idugampalayam Road. Local residents and Annur police rescued 11 people, including six girls and the driver,” a police officer said.

The injured were given first aid at the Annur Government Hospital. TNN
