Heavy rain to continue in some dists

The State Meteorological Centre  has issued an  alert of ‘heavy rainfall’ for isolated places across the State in the next 24 hours while Dehradun experienced a lull in the incessant rainy spell that continued in the city for the past few days on Monday. As per the alert, heavy shower is likely to lash  isolated places of the State, particularly in the districts like Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Pitthoragarh on Tuesday. The sky would be generally cloudy on Tuesday with possibility of light  to moderate showers or  thundershowers in most places  of the State.

However, by way of a relief to the residents of the rain-drenched Dehradun city, there is no alert for them on Tuesday, though it might rain lightly or moderately on the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 30 degree Celsius and 22 degree Celsius respectively in the city on Tuesday.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in several cities of the state on Monday were Dehradun 25.2 degree Celsius and 22.3 degree Celsius, Pantnagar 31.0 degree Celsius and 23.8 degree Celsius, Mukteshwar 18.0 degree Celsius and 14.2 degree Celsius and New Tehri 19.2 degree Celsius and 17.0 degree Celsius respectively.
