A 27-year-old man was allegedly murdered by two people in Rohini’s Japanese Park after an argument on Sunday evening.

The accused are yet to be identified. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Rohini) Rajneesh Gupta said that the victim, Jitender, was from Bihar and used to work at a school bag manufacturing factory in Rohini, Sector 7.

The police said that Jitender and his friend Kamlesh had gone to the park around 7 p.m.

“Kamlesh said that the two accused suspected that the duo were staring at them. They asked why and the argument began,” Mr. Gupta said. During the argument, one of the accused whipped out a knife and slit Jitender’s throat.

Jitender was rushed to Baba Sahed Ambedkar Hospital where he was declared brought dead.

A case under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the IPC has been registered. “CCTV footage of the area is being examined,” the officer added.
