M Passport service simplifies process: Minister VK Singh

The Central Government simplified the process of making a passport. On this move a Mobile Application “M Passport Services” was launched on June 26 this year. At least 78,468 applications have been submitted through the App on July 26, informed Union Minister of State for External Affairs Dr VK Singh.

Replying to the question of MP Mahesh Poddar in Rajya Sabha Singh said that this initiative has been proved the best, submitted huge number of application within one month of its launched.  “This App is equipped with numerous in-built security features and we did not receive any complaint yet,” he added.

A person can apply for a passport from anywhere in India irrespective of the place of residence and does not require access to a computer and printer to apply for a passport.
