TRICHY: A five-foot-tall idol of Lord Brahma was found while digging pits for planting saplings at a coconut grove near Thiruvaiyaru in Thanjavur district on Monday.
The idol was unearthed at Veerasingampettai in 33-year-old Rajarajan’s land. He had engaged a contractor to dig pits. The operator of the earth mover felt something was stuck and when they dug further they found the idol. They brought it out and examined it and realised that it was a Brahma idol with four faces.
