Patna High Court will monitor the CBI probe into the
Muzaffarpur child shelter home rape case.
Accepting the
Bihar government’s plea to take up monitoring of the CBI investigation into the case of sexual assault of girls at the state-funded shelter home and ensure its speedy trial by appointing a special judge, a division bench, comprising Chief Justice Rajendra
Menon and Justice Rajeev Ranjan Prasad, on Monday directed the central investigating agency to submit probe details within two weeks.
Appearing on behalf of the state government, Advocate General Lalit Kishore said his requests for monitoring of the case and appointment of a special judge were accepted by the HC.
