Agencies, Neemuch, MP, Training guns on the principal-opposition Congress on describing him as a ‘madari (juggler)’, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today said that the statement exposed its hollow mentality.
Mr Chouhan made the statement while addressing public meetings at Kukdeshwar, Manasa and Morwan in this district’s Manasa and Jawad constituencies as a part of his ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra.’
Seeking to use the term to his advantage, he said that he is contended to become a ‘madari’ – who dedicates his whole being towards overall development, redressal of problems and raising the standard of living.
“I play the ‘damru (drum)’ of volition and action to build houses of poor, waive electricity bills, organise weddings of our daughters and provide them security, help farmers become prosperous and build future of youth,” he said.
On the occasion, he peformed ‘bhoomi poojan’ of a scheme to provide drinking water to Kukdeshwar from the Gandhi Sagar Dam. He laid foundation of development and construction works of Rs 158.71 cr and unveiled works of Rs 24.71 cr.
Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan hit out at state Congress chief Kamal Nath for calling him a ‘madaari’.
While addressing ‘Jan Kalyan Yojana’ here, Chouhan said he is only focused on the development of Madhya Pradesh and making it world’s best state.
Further underlining the initiatives taken by his government, the Chief Minister said that he was handed over a ‘BIMARU’ state and he changed it to a developed one.
