At an age when girls in Haryana are busy doing household chores, Alakhpura village has set out a unique task for their girls. They learn the tricks of football where they dribble, feint, tackle and even take booming kicks which find their way at the back of the net. The village boasts of producing players like Sanju Yadav who scored 15 goals in the 2016 India Women’s League and Samiksha Jakhar and Nisha Bagaria who scored 18 goals in the Under – 17 Subroto Cup in 2015.
