Three die in road mishap in B’ngir

In a tragic incident, three youths were killed in a road accident near Satamail under Puintala block in Balangir district late on Saturday night.

According to reports, the trio of friends was travelling to Balangir from Sonepur by a motorcycle when a speeding truck collided with their two-wheeler.

All of them died on the spot under the impact of the collision. The deceased were been identified as Lalit Ranjan Kar, Achyut Bagarti and Rakesh Bag of the Malpada area.

The driver of the truck fled the spot after the mishap. Police recovered the bodies and started an investigation.

A pall of gloom descended on the area as the three youths were killed on the Friendship Day.
