The body of a woman who had gone missing with three other members of her family in the Venniyode river at Poyil, near Kambalakkad, was retrieved on Monday evening.
The body of Sreeja (37) of Kalliruttipparambil at Anappara, near Chundale, in the district was retrieved around 4.30 p.m.
Joint search
The joint search was led by Fire and Rescue Services personnel and members of the Thurki Jeevan Raksha Samiti, a rescue organisation, M. Sankaran Namboothiri, tahsildar, Vythiri taluk, told The Hindu.
The body was found by a Scuba diving team of the Fire and Rescue Services from Kozhikode, Mr. Namboothiri, who is supervising the operation, said.
The search that was stopped on Sunday evening owing to adverse weather conditions resumed around 10 a.m. on Monday, Mr. Namboothiri said.
The body of Sreeja’s husband Narayanankutty was retrieved on Sunday.
The search for the two children of the family who too had gone missing was progressing late in the evening.
