Aluminium futures edge up by 0.18% on spot demand

prices edged higher by 0.18 per cent to Rs 139 per kg in futures trade today as speculators built up fresh positions due to improved demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in August edged up by 25 paise, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 139 per kg in business turnover of 265 lots.

Likewise, the the for delivery in September was trading higher by 10 paise, or 0.07 per cent, to Rs 139.70 per kg in 8 lots.

Analysts said, fresh positions created by participants following uptick in demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly attributed the rise in prices in futures trade.
