There has been decline in the medical condition of DMK Patriarch M Karunanidhi. He is being continuously treated, according to a release from Kauvery hospital today.

"Maintaining his vital organ function continues to remain a challenge considering his age-related ailments. He is on continuous monitoring and being treated with active medical support. His response to medical intervention over the next 24 hours will determine the prognosis," the release said.

Earlier in the day, Dayalu Ammal, MK Alagiri and Kanimozhi went to Kauvery Hospital to visit the ailing chief.

DMK President and former TN Chief Minister Karunanidhi was admitted to Kauvery Hospital on July 28 after a dip in his blood pressure caused alarm.
