Trainers’ training at Coast Guard Hqrs

A five-day training of trainers was organised by CRISP at the Indian Coast Guard Headquarters Training Centre.

The focus of the training programme was to update the training skills of the trainers of this training centre who are involved in imparting technical training to their Officers/ Sailors, Officers/ Sailors of Bangladesh and Personnel of Kerala Marine Police.

The focus was on Instruction material development, Assessment and Evaluation Techniques, Presentation and communication skills, Training Methodologies, Managing Conflicts, Qualities of an Effective Trainer, Dos and Don’ts in conducting a Training program.

 The training sessions were administered through Structured exercises, Simulation, Role plays, Individual and group presentation.

On the last day an action plan for three months were made by all the participants. This will be revisited at the end of the third month.

There were 13 Officer Trainers who participated in the training program.

The training was conducted by Behavior Scientist Ranjan Kumar, CPO and Mathew John of Behavior Science department CRISP.

 DIG Deepak Kumar and G Suresh Comdt (Jr) were the guest for the valedictory session.

 All the Trainees appreciated the program and DIG Deepak Kumar was of the opinion that such type of training program is to be organized at least once in a year.

He thanked CRISP for organizing the training at their campus, and suggested to follow the action plan and record the initiative and progress made by the trainers.
