The Peel Craft Beer and Wine Trail has been created by Mandurah and Peel Tourism Organisation (MAPTO) and funding has been provided by Tourism WA.
Tourism WA research indicates that four out of five visitors to the state are interested in food and beverage tourism. MAPTO chief executive Karen Priest said the trail features seven of the Peel region’s top offerings and the focus is providing an authentic local experience.
She went on to add that tourism regions that have a lot of food and beverage experiences to offer can seem overwhelming to visitors, they just do not know where to start.
After consultation with local businesses and planning, a trail map has been developed.
This shows visitors how to get from place to place, transport options available, food offerings and general information about the region.
The businesses that make up the trail are Three Rivers Brewing, Peel Estate Wines, White Lakes Brewing, King Road Brewing Co, Millbrook Winery, Drakesbrook Fine Wines and the Skipworth Wine Company.
