CHANDIGARH: In a shocking incident, a 48-year-old ex-serviceman shot himself in head in Narnaul’s civil hospital, after hearing about the death of his wife, who had consumed poison at their house in a village in Danchauli.
The incident occurred on Sunday morning when Vijay Kumar, who is currently employed with Mother Dairy in New Delhi, had rushed his wife Sharmila to civil hospital of Narnaul.
Vijay had gone to the civil hospital with a relative. After asking the relative to take Sharmila to emergency OPD, Vijay went to park his car in porch. As doctors on duty declared her
dead, the relative broke this news to Vijay. A shocked Vijay took out his service revolver and shot himself in head. "The bullet pierced through the head and Vijay fell on the spot. He too was declared brought dead. Both the bodies were sent for autopsy," said cops.
On Monday, both the dead bodies were handed over to families after the postmortem, the cops added.
