The Durgabai Deshmukh South Campus to Lajpat Nagar section of Delhi Metro’s Pink Line will be opened for the public on August 6. Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal and Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri will jointly inaugurate the first train. The 8.1-km-long section has six stations, including interchange facilities at INA (with Yellow Line) and Lajpat Nagar (Violet Line).
HDFC Asset Management Company is to make its stock market debut on Monday. HDFC AMC’s Rs 2,800-crore initial public offer was open during July 25-27. The price band for the offer was fixed at Rs 1,095-1,100 per share. The IPO was of 25,457,555 shares, including an anchor portion of 6,653,265 shares. HDFC AMC operates as a joint venture between Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) and Standard Life Investments.
The monsoon session of the Delhi Assembly is to take place from August 6 to August 10. The last session of the Assembly was held in June, when the Aam Aadmi Party-ruled House passed a resolution in support of full statehood for Delhi.
The Mahavir Group is to replace DSK as the Italian bike maker's Indian affiliate on Monday. The Hyderabad-based company may import, assemble and distribute Benelli bikes. Benelli’s previous partnership with DSK came to an end due to financial issues with the Indian partner. The Mahavir group has been affiliated with Benelli, as they were its official dealers in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
