A body of another person of Odisha was recovered on Sunday from the granite quarry mishap site at Hathi Belgal village in Andhra Pradesh’s Kurnool district. With this, the death toll of Odia labourers in the mishap rose to three. The latest victim was identified as Bhima Nahak (56) of J Radhagovindpur in Ganjam district.

Notably, ten persons, including two Odias, were killed due to the blast in the quarry on Friday. While five to six bodies were not identified then, the number of death of Odia labourers was expected to increase.

Earlier, Duryodhan Nahak and Manoranjan Nahak of Nuagaon in Ganjam district were killed in the blast.

A two-member fact-finding team from Odisha led by the Ganjam District Labour Officer left for Kurnool on Sunday to take stock of the situation.
