Bands, rings and goodies fly off the shelves on Friendship Day

A number of quotes and images continued to flood social media on Sunday as friends from across the world exchanged wishes and thoughtful notes to brighten up the mood of their loved ones.

Besides outlets, several makeshift stalls made brisk business on Saturday and Sunday as friendship bands, rings and other goodies flying off the shelves like hot cakes. For some, it was an occasion to break social barriers and treat those belonging to economically disadvantaged groups.

Delivering a special message on friendship, Brahma Kumaris concluded their week-long meditation training programme at the Central Jail on Sunday.
