Beijing, More than 200 Pakistani, who have stranded at Guangzhou airport in China, are likely to return their country by a Shaheen air flight on Monday night.
Around 300 people from Pakistani have been stranded at the Guangzhou city after their Shaheen Air flight was abruptly cancelled on July 29, following a dispute over payment of arrears, totalling over Rs 1.5 billion between the airline and the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).
The Shaheen flight has reached the Chinese airport earlier in the day and would come back to Lahore with the stranded passengers by the night. The passengers have already get clearance from immigration authorities, a report from the Geo News said.
On Sunday, the Shaheen airlline had decided to send its own aircraft for the rescue of the people following reports that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was sending one of its airplanes to bring back them. Earlier, Shaheen Air had sought the help of PIA to bring back the stranded passengers.

A spokesperson for the Pakistan Foreign Office had earlier said that with the cooperation of the Pakistani consul general, at least 214 people had reached home through an alternate flight whereas 46 preferred to return via Shaheen Air’s next flight.
Shaheen Air flights to Guanghzou scheduled for August 2 and August 5 were also cancelled increasing the number of Pakistanis stranded at the airport. Shaheen Air provided accommodation to these passengers at a hotel in Guangzhou where they were also provided food.
