SALEM:
Salem Railway Division collected Rs 14,165 as fine from ticketless travellers during a surprise
ticket checking in a train on Monday.
The
surprise checking was conducted by a team led by senior divisional commercial manager A Vijuvin in No 56845 Jolarpettai – Erode passenger.
“The surprise check was started after the train departed from
Lokur station,” Vijuviin said, adding that 51 cases of ticketless travelling had been detected.
