PATNA: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is likely to interrogate several state government officials and politicians for their alleged links with Brajesh Thakur, prime accused in Muzaffarpur children home sex scandal.
According to sources, the CBI has collected call detail records of at least three sim cards used by Thakur to find out calls he had made and received in the past few months. The probe agency is zeroing in on such government officials and politicians who were in touch with Thakur.

The CBI may also summon several such persons whose names were found in the entry register of the children home. “The CBI officials may also initiate the process to draw the sketches of the persons who had allegedly raped the minor girls at the children home on the basis of the descriptions provided by the survivors,” sources said.

Meanwhile, the Madhubani police have so far not been able to trace a 13-year-old girl, who had gone missing from a children home in the town after being shifted from Muzaffarpur. “The girl fled at around 3.30am on July 12 by jumping the outer boundary of the children home,” Madhubani police sources said. They said Alia Khurshid, who runs the home, had lodged an FIR in this connection.
