DMK for probe by senior IPS officer into "cash-for-marks scam"

DMK today claimed the "cash-for-marks" scam at the indicated the 'deterioration' of the higher sector in and demanded that a senior IPS be appointed as the investigating to probe the matter.

The action was taken based on information received from "reliable sources" that the accused had received money from engineering students for granting "excess marks" during re-evaluation.
