Chennai:
“How to eliminate corruption, the moment all Indians decide to lead a simple life...simple living,” he said, addressing an event of United Writers’ Association and Frank Moraes Foundation.
Even Mahatma Gandhi had spoken about the importance of leading a simple life, the Governor said, adding simple living and high thinking was needed for the progress of the country. “Everybody should be satisfied,” he said.
Rather than aspiring for luxurious items, it would be better to stay with cheap and best ones and by imbibing such an attitude of satisfaction, corruption can be eliminated, he said.
