RMNH, Aranya Lok Nyas- NGO jointly organise ‘Itinerant Pardhis’

Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal and Aranya Lok Nyas- NGO jointly organized a programme named Itinerant Pardhis on Saturday at Regional Museum of Natural History, Bhopal.

HS Pabla, retired PCCF (Wildlife) was the Chief Guest of the programme. In-charge of the Museum and Scientist-B Manoj Kumar Sharma; Scientist-B Manik Lal Gupta; Gautam Singh, Deputy General Manager of NABARD, Bhopal; Archana Sharma and Film Maker Anil Yadav were present during the programme.

Chief Guest HS Pabla inaugurated the Temporary Exhibitions on the ‘wildlife conservation related tangible culture of Bail Pardhis of central India’ and ‘Experience & Creation of Pardhi Children’.

In the continuation of the programme, A film named ‘Pardhi: The Unheard Voice’ produced & directed by Anil Yadav was screened. Similarly Two short plays namely ‘Maakhimaal na chhatto’ and ‘Jungle nu ek raat’ were played by children from Aranya Lok Nyas– NGO.  After that a jungle song– ‘Ki ki ko koo’ presented by these children from Aranya Lok Nyas – NGO.

During his speech, Chief Guest HS Pabla told that we should include the Pardhi people in the main stream of society to conserve the wildlife and environment. For this, we should train them in other occupation. Anil Yadav explained about the way of poaching by Pardhis.
