The Justice A Arumughasamy Inquiry Commission, which is probing the death of former chief minister J Jayalalithaa, will submit a report by Monday August 6, about the findings and conclusions from the visit to Apollo Hospitals that was held on July 29.
Chennai:
Public Secretary to Justice Arumughaswamy, Komala, will compile and submit the findings from the visit. The visit to Apollo Hospitals witnessed lawyers from the Arumughaswamy Inquiry Commission and the Sasikala camp examining ten rooms that were used during the hospitalisation of Jayalalithaa. This included the room she was admitted in, the critical care unit, the embalming room and rooms used by Sasikala and other visitors over the course of her stay. The media were not part of the visit and pictures were taken by one designated photographer.Â
Jayalalithaa’s niece Deepa was allowed to visit the room the former CM stayed in after the Commission accepted her petition to include her as part of the examination. However, Deepa could visit only one room after the completion of the visit by the lawyers of the Commission and Sasikala’s counsel.Â
The Commission is set to submit its final report on October 24 this year. Over 50 individuals have deposed before the one-man commission thus far.
