Family of three in hospital after laptop charger sparks house fire
A family of three is in hospital after a house fire in Melbourne's west that was reportedly sparked by an exploding computer charger.
Seven News Melbourne reports that a laptop was charging on a bed in the Tarneit home on Sunday morning when the charger burst into flames.
Unaware his partner and child had escaped the blaze, the father tried to enter the burning room with a garden hose.
He too escaped, but both adults were taken to hospital with smoke inhalation. Their child accompanied them, but was uninjured.
A CFA spokesperson said firefighters were called to the blaze at 10.54am.
