Traffic curbs in Kochi for President Ram Nath Kovind visit

KOCHI: City police have issued traffic restrictions ahead of the visit of President Ram Nath Kovind on Monday and Tuesday in the city.
The President will reach Kochi from Thiruvananthapuram on Monday evening and will stay at Government Guest House. On Tuesday morning, he will meet the chief justice of Kerala High court and other judges. He is scheduled to visit Guruvayur later.

On Monday, traffic restrictions would be in place at Thoppumpady BOT East Junction, Vathuruthy, Naval Base, Thevara, Park Avenue Road, Pallimukku, Jos Junction, DH Road and Park Avenue Road from 5.45pm to 7pm.

Commuters heading to the city from west Kochi region and heading back to west Kochi should take BOT East Junction-Thevara ferry-Kundanoor-Vyttila route.

Traffic and parking restrictions would be in place from 8.30am till 10.30am on Tuesday at Thoppumpady BOT East Junction, Vathuruthy, Naval Base, Thevara, Park Avenue Road, Pallimukku, Jos Junction, DH Road, Park Avenue Road, Shanmukham Road, High Court Junction, Police Club, Chathiath Junction, Bolgatty Junction and Goshree bridge.
