THE PLASTIC SURGERY CAPITAL OF THE WORLD
★★★
10.20pm, SBS
From her unique perspective, British burns victim Annie Price (pictured) explores the beauty culture in Seoul, where getting a bit of work done is apparently as common as having a haircut. Treading the "beauty belt" of downtown Gangnam, she quizzes local women about their procedures, and seeks expert advice about her nose. What she discovers, medically and personally, is surprising.
WRONG KIND OF BLACK
★★★★★
9.30pm, ABC
Clarence Ryan (Cleverman) is magnificent as Boori Monty Pryor in this funny and deeply impacting biopic of the DJ-turned-educator from Palm Island. Melbourne's 1970s disco scene is reignited through sizzling scenes that speak volumes about race, with a razor sharp wit. Through childhood flashbacks and mounting tensions, it is clear the laughs can't last forever and when the punch comes, it is a knockout.
BULL
Series return ★★★½
8.30pm, Ten
Steered by Steven Spielberg and Dr Phil, this was never going to be anything but a slickly produced, not unpleasantly voyeuristic courtroom drama that neatly sorts right from wrong. In this triumphant season two return, Michael Weatherly's irritatingly clever trial scientist takes on an unpopular public figure, and manages to slip in a cheeky Charlie Sheen joke at the end.
