NEW DELHI: Criminals fled with approximately Rs 26 lakh from an ATM located in Seelampur in northeast Delhi. However, the robbers didn’t need to uproot the machine, as has been seen in earlier instances, because they knew the passcode of the cash box.
Confirming the incident, DCP (northeast) Atul Kumar Thakur said the incident occurred early on Sunday. Three men entered the kiosk, opened the cash box of the ATM and stole approximately Rs 26 lakh from it.

Police suspect an insider role into the incident. They have prepared a list of current and former employees of the bank and the cash logistic firms to zero in on the suspects. Senior officers said that only a few people are aware of the passcode of ATMs.
