Jakarta: A 7.0-magnitude earthquake jolted the Indonesian island of Lombok on Sunday, the US Geological Survey said.
Lombok is a popular tourist site for its beaches and hiking trails.
The epicentre, with a depth of 10.48 km, was initially determined to be at 8.2679 degrees south latitude and 116.4574 degrees east longitude.
A tsunami warning was issued in its aftermath but it was lifted several hours later. Meanwhile, authorities have asked the people to stay away from ocean.
It comes a week after another quake hit the island killing at least 16 people.
