Sunday numbers will decide how much the three films will earn over the first weekend.

Of the three, Fanney Khan was the strongest on Friday with Rs 1.9 crore earning at the box office. It failed to show much of an improvement on Saturday with Rs 2.25 crore earned that day.

Karwaan, in comparison made only Rs 1.5 crore on Friday but almost doubled its earnings on Saturday with Rs 2.75 crore tally. Mulk also showed some improvement as it earned Rs 1.45 crore on Friday and Rs 2.35 crore on Saturday.

Other than Dulquer and Irrfan, Karwaan also stars Mithila Palkar and is about fathers and their children. The film has received largely positive reviews and has been doing better on strength of positive word-of-mouth.

Fanney Khan has garnered applause for a charming performance by Anil Kapoor but the reviews for the film have been mixed. Mulk is a courtroom drama, which has received appreciation for tackling a difficult but timely subject.
