PTI Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu will take on world number two Akane Yamaguchi of Japan in the semi-finals of the World Badminton Championships at Nanjing, China today.
In the quarterfinal last night, world number three Sindhu defeated eighth seed Nozomi Okuhara of Japan, in straight games, 21-17, 21-19.
Sindhu is the only Indian left in the tournament. Saina Nehwal and the Mixed Doubles pair of Ashwini Ponnappa and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy bowed out in the quarterfinals yesterday.
