Greater Noida: The biggest problem that the government facing today is that it cannot provide
jobs to all the youths, chief minister Yogi Adityanath said on Friday.
The CM, who was delivering the inaugural address of the 11th session of Gautam Buddha University, said every youth doesn’t want to do a job and many want to start their own start-up.
Since UP is very rich, in the sense that every district had a unique product, the state government will soon launch a “one district—one product scheme” to help these youths get employment in the nearby districts of the state rather than in other states.
“We are planning a big launch of the scheme by the President,” he said.
He described how 25 youths from Ghaziabad and several others had turned up to discuss their start-up ideas with him.
“One group said the government is often accused that due to its policies, the crops of farmers were getting spoiled. They said that the government had stopped illegal slaughter houses and hence, all cattle were on roads. I said that they (cattle) were not born in a year. They were there earlier too,” he said.
He said this group wanted to create a big gobar gas plant with an offer to give one gas cylinder to every customer in lieu of cowdung provided by the customer for 15 days.
He said that out of the 4.5 lakh youths from the state enrolled in the PM’s skill development scheme, 2.5 lakh were given skill development and were given placements as well.
