Nivin Pauly’s Kayamkulam Kochunni promises to be an epic period drama

The upcoming period drama Kayamkulam Kochunni is a highly anticipated Malayalam film. Nivin Pauly plays legendary highway thief Kayamkulam Kochunni in the Rosshan Andrrews directorial

Set in the 19th century, when the country was under the rule of the British, Kayamkulam Kochunni has been made on a grand scale and it is a very significant film in Nivin Pauly's career.

With a short crop, handlebar mustache and beefed up physique, Nivin sports a menacing look for this ambitious film. The actor also took Kalaripayattu lessons in preparation for his role.

In a first, Nivin Pauly has shared screen space with superstar Mohanlal in Kayamkulam Kochunni. Mohanlal is playing Ithikkara Pakki, who is said to be Kochunni's mentor in highway robbery.

Priya Anand is playing Janaki, Kayamkulam Kochunni’s romantic interest.

Sunny Wayne will be seen as Keshavan, a British police officer, who leads the manhunt for Kayamkulam Kochunni. The film also stars Babu Antony. He will be seen as Thangal.
