India’s Ace shuttler P.V.Sindhu entered the women’s singles final beating Akane Yamaguchi of Japan at the World Championship in Nanjing, China today.
In the semi-final, she registered a brilliant 21-16, 24-22 win over World No 2 , Akane Yamaguchi of Japan. Sindhu will face Carolina Marin of Spain in the final tomorrow. Earlier, the feisty Spaniard Carolina Marin beat He Bingjiao in three games to enter the women’s singles final.

Sindhu is the lone Indian to enter the semi-finals of the Badminton World Championships, as her compatiorts Saina Nehwal, B Sai Praneeth and the mixed doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Ashwini Ponnappa lost in the quarter-finals yesterday.
Meanwhile, Shi Yuqi and Kento Momota also entered the men’s singles final today. Shi Yuqi of China comfortably beat compatriot and Olympic champion Chen Long 21-11, 21-17 in the semis. Chen was chasing a third world title. Yuqi will play against Kento Momota of Japan in tomorrow’s final. Earliere, Kento Momota beat Malaysia’s Daren Liew 21-16, 21-5 in the semi-finals.
