To address issues related to the approval of building plans and other services of suburban areas, the Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) will hold camps in Bajpe, Mulky , Surathkal and Ullal every Saturday, said Urban Development and Housing Minister U.T. Khader here on Saturday.
Talking to reporters after a day-long MUDA Adalat, Mr. Khader said the camps of MUDA in these suburban area would start from September.
The camps are being organised as a part of the campaign to bring MUDA closer to people. During the camp, officials will do spot inspection of sites and address issues at the earliest.
Mr. Khader said the MUDA office in Mangaluru will not entertain any brokers.
Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil said that MUDA was encouraging people to approach the office directly for building plans approval, change of land use and other services. Assistance will be available at the MUDA office.
Mr. Sentil said building plans approval and other certificates will be issued by MUDA only to the applicant.
Mr. Khader said discussion was on with Secretaries of Revenue, Urban Development, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj departments to simplify procedures in getting approval of building plans.
He said MUDA would soon have a system by which people can file applications online. The functioning of MUDA and other development authorities will automated, he said..
As many as 116 people filed their grievances in the adalat of which 80 were heard. Mr. Khader said the adalat would be held once in six months.
