Indore : Six cases of dengue in two days have sent the officials of district health department on toes.
Moreover, the vectore borne disease is spreading its tentacles beyond the city as three out of the six cases were reported from Depalpur rural area. A team of health activists led by nodal officer of Integrated Diseases Surveillance Program Dr Asha Pandit visited Sagdod village in Depalpur.

“Four patients were tested positive on Friday while two were tested positive on Saturday. The patients include a 50-year -old female and a 52-year-old male from Sagdod village in Depalpur area, a 15-year-old female from Nandra Village in Depalpur, a male of 27- years from Vaisnav Vihar Colony in Nipaniya, a male of 37-years from Sanjogpuri in Khajrana and a female of 25-years from Avantika Nagar in scheme no. 51,” Dr Asha Pandit said.
With the new cases, the total number of cases reached to 65 on Saturday.
Dr Pandit said that they organised an awareness programme in Sagdod village and informed them about recognising dengue larva and ways to prevent the disease.
The department has also conducted a survey in the area.
“Patients admitted in various hospitals are recovering and few of them are even discharged healthy,” Dr Pandit said.
