Devisingh Murder Case- Fed up with girlfriend’s harassment accused murdered Devi


Pithampur (Mhow) : Pithampur police claimed has solved blind murder case of Devisingh alias Gopal, 30, son of Udaisingh within 24-hour after his body was recovered near St Francis School’s ground in Pithampur on Friday.

Police arrested three accused involved in the case and also recovered knife which was used in the crime and deceased mobile phone. Briefing media persons here at Pithampur, additional superintendent of police Sachin Sharma and city superintendent of police DK Tiwari informed that the accused were identified as Krushna Rathore, a resident of Lahori village under Dhamnod police station, his paternal cousin Chandan Rathore, a resident Vaishnav Colony, Pithampur and one Salamsingh Randhava, a resident of Balakwada, Khargone.

Trio murdered Devisingh slitting his throat and later dumped his body near ground on intervening night of Thursday – Friday. Later his body was recovered on Friday morning.


ASP Sharma informed that deceased was continuously harassing Krushna’s girlfriend to meet him. Fed-up of continuous harassment, Krushna with two of his accomplice has decided to eliminate Devisingh. They fetch plan at Chandan’s place on Thursday.

After having meal at Chandan’s place, Krushna called Devisingh saying that his girlfriend ready to meet him at St Francis School ground at outskirt of the town. As the area was crowded, Krushna and two of his accomplice engaged Devisingh in talk. As soon as the spot took deserted look, accused trio first slit his throat and later stabbed him repeatedly until he died on the spot. Accused later took away his mobile phone.

Devisingh’s room partner Shankar who was having meal with the desceased when he received the phone call informed police that as soon as his room partner got a phone call, he left meal and told him that he’s coming within 10 minutes, but he never come back. Next morning, he tried to search him and even made several calls on his mobile phone, in vain.
