Ganjam BJP submits memo to Dharmendra

Brahmapur: The Ganjam BJP unit on Friday submitted a memorandum to Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in New Delhi regarding upgradation of the Brahmapur railway station. Party district vice-president Sarat Sahu said that as many as 75 lakh people depend on this railway station, which generates much higher revenue than many other stations in the State. The memorandum also demanded inclusion of the Rangeilunda Airstrip in the Udaan scheme. Among others, Santosh Kumar Sahu, Sudam Das, Balkrishna Samantray and Sangram Mishra were present.

B’pur Saraswati Vidya Mandir holds welcome fest 

Brahmapur: The Saraswati Degree Vidya Mandir (Plus Three College), Neelakantha Nagar here organsied a welcome ceremony for the first year students here on Thursday. College Principal S Mohan Rao welcomed the students and introduced the students to the teachers of the college. Among others, Sishu Mandir Headmaster Umadhav Mohanty and college managing committee advisor Rabindra Nath Jena were present. As many as 272 students have been inducted in the science stream this year.   

K’put I & PR Dept holds debate, essay competitions

Jeypore: Ahead of the Independence Day, the I and PR Department, Koraput organised debate and essay competitions to fill a spirit of patriotism at the Government High School here on Friday. Programme RI Subash Nayak, Bhabani Sankar Mishra, Bhuban Mohan Pattnaik attended as guests. A large number of students spoke on the importance of being patriotic. The competition winners would be awarded during the Independence Day celebration. Satya Narayan Pradhan coordinated the programme.
