Mayor Soumini Jain on Friday suggested curbs on movement of single passenger vehicles on busy streets. She was speaking after inaugurating the workshop on ‘One lanet City Challenge’ in the city.
Ms. Jain also stressed the need for making good use of the public transport system for fighting climate change. The workshop was co-hosted by the Centre for Heritage Environment and Development of the local body, World Wildlife Fund and ICLEI South Asia.
V.K. Minimol, chairperson of the health standing committee, and K.J. Antony, LDF leader in the Corporation Council, were present.
