GST evasion of Rs 12 crore unearthed

JAIPUR: The Jaipur zonal Directorate General of GST Intelligence unearthed a tax evasion of Rs 11.51 crore during a raid and arrested three persons including a Jaipur based charted accountant.
The DGGI had received a specific intelligence input that Sandeep Goyal and Rajesh Arora, both residents of Abohar in Punjab were availing wrongful InputTax Credit (ITC) on the basis of fake invoices with the help of charted accountant Himani Munjal resident of Jaipur.

The DGGI team dug into the information and conducted multiple raids including five in Abohar and three locations in Jaipur. The officials said that primary investigation it was found that 35 fake firms were floated by the accused for a GST evasion of Rs 11.51 crore,

The officials said that all three persons have been arrested and a further investigation continues to gather more information about the case.
