MUMBAI: A 58-year-old scrap dealer from Andheri was shot at by two unknown bike-borne men on Saturday. The incident occurred at 12.15am when the victim Aslam Khan stepped out from his car outside the building where he resides.
"Two men on bike fired at Khan and sped away. Few persons who were present in the locality rushed on hearing the gun sound," said deputy commissioner of police (Zone X) Navinchandra Reddy.

Khan underwent surgery at Leelavati Hospital and is kept under observation in ICU. MIDC police suspect that it may be a case of alleged business rivalry or something personal. They are going through the CCTV footage to get a lead about the accused.

A case of attempt to murder and under section for illegal possession of fire arms was registered against unidentified persons.
