Two people were killed and six others injured in an explosion in a flour mill in Pokhar Bhitwa village in the Dharamshighwa police station area here today.
The explosion took place due to overheating of a machine, sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) Jasbhir Singh said.
The deceased have been identified as Rajaram, the owner of the flour mill, and Ram Raj, a villager, the SDM said, adding that they were in the age group of 30 to 40 years.
Six others present at the mill received injuries and were hospitalised, the SDM said.
