This is the dramatic aftermath of a two-vehicle crash which saw a car plough through a traffic light.

Video footage taken shortly after the crash shows debris strewn across the Rhyl Coast Road last night as people stand shocked on the street.

A white Ford Fiesta was badly damaged in the crash, but the occupants of the vehicles involved escaped without serious injury.

North Wales Police said they were in attendance at the incident for a short time.

A spokesman said: “We were called at 9.15pm to a two-vehicle RTC.

“One vehicle was a Ford Fiesta but there are no details about the other vehicle.

“There were no injuries and nobody was trapped.

“A lamp post was hit and there was one vehicle in the middle of the road following the crash.”

Tim Whittaker, whose son captured footage from the aftermath of the collision, said there was quite a large police presence following the incident.

He said: “My son was going past at the time so he took the video.

“I live right by the scene of the crash and I went out afterwards to see what was happening.

“There were quite a few police officers there and they told me to move back.

“You can see that they have gone through the traffic light.”
