Renault EZ-Pro Concept Spotted In The Wild, Should Debut In Paris

Renault used the Geneva Motor Show to introduce the EZ-GO concept and now a similarly styled EZ-PRO concept has been spotted by a Carscoops reader in Tallinn, Estonia.

Snapped outside a luxury hotel, the EZ-PRO appears to be set of two autonomous shuttles or cargo haulers. A video shot by a YouTuber reveals the front of the concept has a massive tinted window which features an illuminated Renault badge.

The side image reveals the front window lifts up and out of the way to provide access to the interior. This likely means the cabin doesn’t have a dashboard or steering wheel as they would block entry and egress.

The sides of the concept appear to be covered in sheet metal unlike the EZ-GO concept which used massive glass panels. This could suggest the EZ-PRO is a cargo hauler, but nothing is official as of yet.

Regardless of its purpose, the EZ-PRO has squared off wheel arches which are located at the corners of the van. Each features head- or brake lights and flush-mounted wheels.

Little else is known about the EZ-PRO, but the EZ-GO was an autonomous electric vehicle which was designed to transport up to six people. At the time the concept was unveiled, Renault said the model was the “first member of a family of concept cars to be introduced all through 2018.” This suggests the EZ-PRO will debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.

If the EZ-PRO is like the EZ-GO, we can expect the concept will have a Level 4 semi-autonomous driving system and a limited top speed of 30 mph (50 km/h). The concept should also be an electric vehicle which rides on a specially built platform. We can also expect a rear electric motor, a wireless charging system and a battery pack that is located beneath the floor.
